You know the other day I drove by a one-legged bum who'd managed to stake a claim at a major off-ramp.
Prior to my normal impulse to ignore his stares and rantings into my car window by either picking my nose and flicking a booger towards his stare or timing the light so that I can pretend to look for change before I peel-out laughing, this bum had the look that he might actually be down on his luck because of his missing right leg- I thought that he may have gone to war and had his leg blown off by some low-life sand nigger. I thought this guy needs help and might deserve it.
Then this thought came into my mind..."nahhh, f-him" and I peeled out laughing.

I've got a 67 Mustang... ever see that old movie Bullitt? I have that exact car. fastback, dark green. Except I didn't remove the badging. it came stock with a 390 and a 4 speed and I built a 428CJ and put it in. (many years ago) And I did all the high performance tricks when I built it, windage trays, drilled the oil journals, Competition cam, Hooker headers made for that engine in that car. they fit like a glove. And a McCloud 12" clutch. I stuck with the original Holley 780 single pumper carb. I used to be able to smoke em in first and second and chirp em into third. 6 mpg on a good day. And I had front end work done to it so it sits a little lower and the front end only travels up and down about an inch. I think it's called negative camber where the outside tire leans into the corner a little. Needless to say I can't take it to Pep Boys to have it aligned. (Global West)
Now for the bad news - I haven't started it in about 20 years. I always said when I was done with the house I would start on the car again... maybe this summer.
what sucks is that I went through all that do get to about 450 HP and you can go buy a new one with that much power now, maybe more.
