Time to sit back, relax and watch Texas and Kansas choke.

OU is playing well. we're going to go flat for about 5 minutes at some point in the second half. Let's hope we can play D and have a big enough lead to overcome this. Who knows though...it is Waymon Tisdale day!

hahahaha now THAT'S some funny shit. 69-33 so far after taking over Kelvin's mess, and already an Elite Eight appearance. He's recruited top 10 classes each year. Capel's job is MORE than secure, regardless of what happens this year...especially considering how young we are and Willie Warren not being anywhere close to 100%. The only way he leaves is if Duke comes calling. Do you see what happens when longhorns try to talk basketball....I'm not sure anyone around here in Austin even knew there was a game today

Texas gave the game away. But that's ok. It helped the conference RPI.

They did. They gave it away before they stepped on the court considering they didn't lead one second of the entire contest...

OU won the game, that is all that matters at the end of the day.

The reason Texas is getting beat:
Texas is the Conferences worst team at the free throw line. they've left almost 100 points off the board at the line. If they made even half of those, they would be still be in the top 5, depending of course on what game they made them in. Fundamentals.
Texas is in 9th place in the Conference in Scoring Defense giving up 76 points a game. Fundamentals.
Texas is within on trey of being dead last in the Conference in 3 point field goals made. Recruit a shooter.
They are, however, impressive hitting the boards. If game points were allotted for rebounds, Texas would number one in all polls.
The reason Blow U is getting beat:
A conference scoring margin of -4.6 per game. And that's AFTER the Texas win. Ranked a solid 11th in scoring offense in Conference. It's hard to win with that.
Ranked dead last in Conference in field goal % shooting. Some of these McDonald All-Americans need glasses?
Dead last in Assists? Hey, there's only one basketball on the court at a time, pass it around. One too many prima donnas would be my guess.
Capel must be one hell of a coach to overcome that.
Conclusion: OU has a decent coach though worth way less than he's being paid.
Barnes has some issues to deal with. Bone up on fundamentals and hire a decent shooting guard, it's not like you guys don't have the money to buy one. What? You blew the budget on rebounders?

no shit on the ft. that was my point about Texas giving the game away. I figured it was so clear it didn't need to be mentioned. James was about 3 for fifty from the line. horrible.

James was about 3 for fifty from the line. horrible. yes you sucked from the line. We were not spectacular either. It just sounds ridiculous when you play the "we gave u the game" card when Texas really only threatened to take over the lead for abt 1 total minute of the game. That being said, You're Texas!! There has to be some excuse for losing...

It looked like the guys were giving you the game the way they shot ft way more horribly than usual. James is not a great FT shooter but is not generally in the 25% range especially with so many attempts. Whether they were or not is unknowable. It just looked like it to me.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter because the outcome of the game is a W for OU and a L for Texas. There is no moral victory of any type in making an observation that Texas shot horribly from the FT line to the point that it could infer any number of things from it. They would just be inferences though.
