The refs were amazingly inconsistent in how they called fouls over the course of the game.
But they didn't favor one side over the other.

Goldy, I agree with you, I wasn't implying there was favoritism. The refs just suck period. The Big 12 needs to review these calls.

Yeah -- until the final second of regulation. Try telling us with a straight face the KU defender (Morningstar?) didn't foul the shooter. He clearly stuck his entire arm in, across the body. But God forbid the officials are gonna call that during a tie game with 1 second left. That call gets made at any other point. That's the inherent problem with basketball, period: The fouls are subjective.

He didn't foul the shooter. /straight face Refs very rarely are gonna call fouls in the last five seconds of a game unless its just flat out obvious. They swallow the whistles. And it looked clean to me anyway. And I think it was Reed who committed that 'phantom' foul.

That's the inherent problem with basketball, period: The fouls are subjective. I never saw a replay that showed that was anything but the defender knocking the ball away. Too bad; in one thing you can trust with me. I am rooting for a uK loss. The Wildchirps did themselves proud, though - the fans more than the team. That was the most electric atmosphere I've seen in awhile. It seemed like ESPN showed 40 percent crowd shots during that broadcast.

I'm just glad now it's being noticed. Seriously, I was at a women's b-ball game a few years back (ok, seriously) and it was ridiculous in there.

In their four years at KU...Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich have never fouled out of a basketball game.

Cole hasn't been at Ku for four years. And if so thats interesting. Pretty sure they haven't so far this year but I could swear Cole did his freshman year. I don't care enough to look that shit up.

Big 12 Refs need to meet and decide to let them play on the back half of the season.
K State lost twice because of touchy feely bullshit fouls. Not saying they didn't deserve the calls, just saying that getting closer to tournement time you gotta let em play because when the tourney starts the tourney refs are going to allow it.
Otherwise they will do like UT did at UCONN. Go down like a cheap whore.
